During this covid times, Cristian was diving into the landscape of Banská Štiavnica. The aim? To compose a symphonic piece inspired in this breath-taking UNESCO protected town.

"The tree, the bird, and the wind cooperate dynamically. The first one grows, giving shelter and food. The second one sings the wake of stories trapped in the wood. The third one, a gentle vehicle for sound, declares himself a puppeteer of the leaves and of all that exists. The wind is the invisible hand that supports the bird in its flight. And it is also its song and therefore, its body. Now it surrounds the listener, and inhabits him arising from within, where the music resonates.
This work was thought and carried out during the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. Faced with social distance and a certain sense of exotic solitude, the playful process of composing came to the rescue. Once again, the music has revealed the faith in our spirit.
"Veterný vták na strome" pays tribute to the beauty of Banská Štiavnica, a charming town of mining origin, located in the center of Europe which so easily manages to take your breath away. A fairy tale, of castles and lakes in the XXI century. A natural treasure protected by UNESCO. Tour its forests, its medieval streets. Breathe its clean air. Go through its seasons to be bathed in mist. Contemplate the purity in the snow that paints everything from Heaven. Breathe in the aromas of its colorful springs and its fruity autumns. Fill your eyes with the light of summers. All these scenarios that took my Latin American DNA by assault, are the ones truly responsible for this sincere and humble tribute."
